Synopsis:

Team will stay at Florence Baptist Church in Forest City (20 minutes from GWU) and work each day at projects within the Rutherford County community doing roof work, painting, and other home upgrades for those in need in the area, as well as providing fellowship and sharing Christ with those they come in contact with. In the evening, there will be a contemporary style praise and worship service each night as well as devotion times for individual groups. You can request which type of job you would like to perform (Ex- roof work, painting, etc).


Guatemala

Synopsis:

Participants will have the opportunity to share the gospel while providing healthcare in a standing clinic and a mobile clinic, travel to thirteen local villages and schools to provide health and hygiene teaching to adults and children, and assist in a children’s home.

Synposis:

To provide training and support for the Children’s Home, School, and Hospital run by Bileg Solid Rock. This trip would mainly consist of providing education and support to the local English as a Second Language teacher as well as to the nursing staff at the hospital. Opportunities will also exist for interactions with the local students both in and outside of the classroom as well as the families living in the local community. There will also be the chance to tour the Angkor Wat historic site and the Tuol Sleng Prison as well as the killing fields at Cheong Ek.


Madrid, Spain

Synopsis:

We will be partnering with Lucas and Betzabe Colmenares who are missionaries in the town of Torrejon de Ardoz, a suburb of Madrid Spain. The population is made up of immigrants from Latinos, Africans, Europeans, Asians, and Muslims from Morocco, Nigeria, Mali, and other African countries. Lucas uses his love of basketball to reach the community for Christ. We will participate in the basketball clinics during the evening, including sharing devotional time and testimony with the kids of all ages and parents. Other opportunities may include creative evangelism, prayer walks, door to door ministry, and passing out tracks in the market/square.
