Bio

Dr. Jessup returned to his alma mater in 1994 as the first director of admissions for Gardner-Webb’s School of Divinity. Since 1996 he has served as the Senior Minister to Gardner-Webb University, providing pastoral care and nurturing spiritual formation in this community of faith and learning. Dr. Jessup enjoys the opportunity to serve the local church through interim pastorates, pulpit supply, and preaching revival services. He and his wife, Teresa, met as students at Gardner-Webb in 1985 and were married in 1989. They have two children, Christian and Anna.

Bio

Jeff Rogers has taught at Gardner-Webb, at Furman University, and at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary; and he has served as a Field Education Supervisor for students at Duke Divinity School and Erskine Theological Seminary. A member of the Society of Biblical Literature and a former president of the South Carolina Academy of Religion, he is the author or editor of six books and numerous articles in refereed journals and standard reference works such as the Anchor Bible Dictionary, Eerdman’s Bible Dictionary, Interpreter’s Bible Handbook of Preaching, and New Interpreter’s Dictionary of the Bible. He has served as a pastor, interim pastor and preacher, guest preacher, and teacher in Anglican, Baptist, Christian (Disciples), Jewish, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, and Presbyterian congregations, conferences, workshops, and retreats in Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Ontario.
